43ºN by 77°W is an exhibition of abstract contemporary photography investigating the effects of geographic climate on the industrial landscapes. Dating back to the 19th century Rochester, N.Y. has a been a hub for innovative thinking, modern manufacturing technology, and industrialization. Uniquely located on the banks of the Genesee River and the Erie Canal, industrialized development is entangled through Rochester history and existence. 43ºN by 77°W acknowledges industry leaders of the past, buildings and sites weathered and worn by climate. The exhibition also embodies bold, abstracted compositions of current facilities and facades who serve as sites for future breakthroughs in technology.
